Who is responsible
DarkMatterDB is operated by Onitsoga Labs. Onitsoga Labs is the controller for personal information described on this page. The public site is https://darkmatterdb.com.
These pages sit with the Terms of Service and the affiliate disclosure.
What this site is
DarkMatterDB is an Onitsoga Labs directory of Matter products from CSA’s public list. It is not CSA, not a lab that certifies hardware, and not an Amazon store.
No accounts
There are no accounts, profiles, or logins. You can browse without giving a name or email. The contact form is the exception: if you write to us, we ask for a name, email, and message.
What stays on your device
If you add products to Compare, that list stays in your browser. Short tips we have already shown you may also stay on your device so they do not repeat. Clearing this site’s data in your browser removes them. We do not copy that list to our servers.
Visit records
When you use the site, ordinary records of the visit are kept so we can run and protect it. That can include your IP address, browser, the page you asked for, and the time. Search terms can show up there. We count visits with Pirsch, a privacy-oriented analytics tool. We do not sell this information.
How long we keep information
Visit analytics through Pirsch are kept under Pirsch’s retention settings for that tool. Contact form messages are kept only as long as needed to reply and for ordinary business records, then deleted. We do not keep a marketing profile about you.
Amazon and cookies
DarkMatterDB does not set advertising cookies of its own. Buy links, when shown, go to Amazon. If you follow one, Amazon may set its own cookies and handle the visit under Amazon’s policies. See the affiliate disclosure.
Where listing facts come from
Product names and certification status come from CSA’s public Matter list. Photos, when we have them, come from the maker’s site or from Amazon. We do not make up certification IDs or Amazon product IDs.
Children
DarkMatterDB is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 sent us information through the contact form, use the contact form and we will delete it.
We do not sell personal information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it so others can advertise to you across the web. There is no account to download.
Jurisdiction
Onitsoga Labs operates DarkMatterDB from the United States. Questions about this policy: use the contact form.
Contact
Questions: use the contact form. Name, email, and message go to Onitsoga Labs so we can reply. The form may include a short check that you are a person, not a bot.
